Analog Devices is one of the most innovative companies in the world. We are now looking for an Intern working with our Robotics System Applications team. Robots are the icon of the digital era and are the most important interface between AI and the physical world. AI is in fact fuelling a Robot Revolution and ADI is central to how these robots operate. How they move, sense their environment and intelligently interact with the environment.
The Robotics team develops leading intelligent edge solutions for Industrial and Collaborative Robots, End of Arm Tools, Mobile Robots (AMR/AGV), and emerging Humanoid and Drones leveraging the huge portfolio of ADI technologies: from IC, to sub-system solutions to artificial intelligence.
The System Applications team develops leading edge System Level Technical Solutions for the growth of revenue and market share for the Robotic Market. The team develops system level solutions, block diagrams and signal chains, builds and deepens customer relationships, collaborates across ADI to meet customers' needs today and in the future.
To be eligible for the placement program, you should be currently enrolled or have finished within the last 12 months a Master Degree (or PhD) of Electronics or related fields (e.g. Software, Mechatronics, Computer Science, etc). This role is compatible with working on the Master Thesis during the internship program. As a valued team member, students at ADI are assigned real work projects that are both meaningful and exciting. Our experienced engineers take their roles as mentors seriously as they want to see you succeed.
The duration of the internship is usually between 6 and 12 months, and will be discussed during the interview. There is a competitive salary associated with the internship.

The Role: Development of hardware/software and embedded systems for Robotics, End Effectors, AMR/AGV, Industrial Drones, Outdoor and Humanoid Robots solutions Development of Demonstrators of Robotic functions Development of Signal Chains and Block Diagrams with key Electronic technologies and their fit inside the System Quantify the impact of each Technology on Key Robotic Performance metrics Be open to continue learning every day. Developing system level understanding in relevant application segments is crucial. Understand the customer system issues with a view to defining value-added solutions. The Person: The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in electronics engineering or related field (e.g. Software, Mechatronics, Computer Science, etc) and currently enrolled or just finished within the last 12 months a Master Degree (or PhD) of Electronics or related fields. Basic understanding of PCB design (Cadence Allegro), simulation tools (LTSpice), lab measurements, software-assisted automation (e.g. Python, C, Labview) and microcontroller coding are beneficial. Knowledge of Robotics applications, including fixed and mobile robots, End Effectors and Humanoids are considered a plus. Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning techniques is a plus. Must have excellent and effective oral and written English communication skills. Must be detail-oriented and able to work on multiple priorities/projects. Collaborative, interactive, and open-minded characters are desirable.
