Robots are the icon of the digital era and are the most important interface between AI and the physical world. AI is in fact fueling a Robot Revolution and ADI is central to how these robots operate. How they move, sense their environment and intelligently interact with the environment.
The Robotics team develops leading intelligent edge solutions for Industrial and Collaborative Robots, End of Arm Tools, Mobile Robots (AMR/AGV) and emerging Humanoid and Drones leveraging the huge portfolio of ADI technologies: from IC, to sub-system solutions to artificial intelligence.
The System Applications team develops leading edge System Level Technical Solutions for the growth of revenue and market share for the Robotic Market. The team develops system level solutions, block diagrams and signal chains, builds and deepens customer relationships, collaborates across ADI to meet customers' needs today and in the future. Ideal candidates, preferably with knowledge of Robots or in the End Effector / Industrial Vision ecosystem, possess strong analytical and technical aptitude, willingness to work with customers and sales, and collaborative abilities working across the organization. Further, a results-oriented mindset of continuous learning and a vision for future technologies is essential, to recognize near and long-term technology trends.
The Role: Development of hardware/software and embedded systems for Robotics, End Effectors, AMR/AGV, Industrial Drones, Outdoor and Humanoid Robots solutions Development of Signal Chains and Block Diagrams with key Electronic technologies and their fit inside the System. Quantify the impact of each Technology on Key Robotic Performance metrics Presenting ADI Robotics Solutions at Key customers and Trade Shows. Ideation of new product and solution developments based on application needs Strong knowledge of Analog Devices' product offering and future developments Understanding of our competitors' technical benefits and weak points Collaboration across ADI to drive near term customer solutions and long-term technology solutions. Develop international relationships with our Field Application Engineers by creating and delivering technical training material. Be open to continue learning every day. Developing system level understanding in relevant application segments is crucial. Understand the customer system issues with a view to defining value-added solutions. The Person: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering: Electronics/Electrical Eng, Mechatronics Eng, Computer Eng, or similar fields, preferably linked to robotics. PhD or 2~3 years of experience in technical developments (PCB level, firmware level, FPGA is a plus). Larger level of experience is appreciated. Preferred good knowledge of Robotics applications, including fixed and mobile robots. Outdoor robotics, End Effectors and Humanoids knowledge are a plus. Preferred knowledge of Industrial Vision technologies, including Time of Flight or Radar, and of Sensor Fusion techniques. Preferred knowledge of Motion technologies, including BLDC and PMSM drives Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning techniques is a plus. Must have excellent and effective oral and written English communication skills Must be detail-oriented and able to work on multiple priorities/projects. Strong team player aiming to build a collaborative environment and interact inside and outside the organization. Critical thinking with a problem solving approach.
