The Industrial Connectivity and Control team is looking for a motivated Analog Design Engineer to join ADI's Milano Design Center.
You'll be part of a team of more than 25 people focused on industrial communication and automation.
Our team's mission is to design integrated circuits (ICs) for various industrial applications, such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial sensor communication, process control, building automation, and industrial interface products.
We are primarily looking for candidates who have recently graduated from university and have little to no prior work experience but are enthusiastic about learning and improving their skills in analog circuit design.
You'll have the opportunity to work closely with an experienced mentor designer who will guide you in your professional growth.
Collaboration within the team is essential, and you'll be working alongside designers with over ten years of experience and even junior designers like you, offering a great learning opportunity.
Your role will involve working with a broader team, including digital designers, verification engineers, layout engineers, test engineers, and other technical professionals located offshore.
Your responsibilities will include: Designing and simulating circuits at the transistor level from individual blocks to the overall hierarchical level.
Understanding semiconductor device operation and their reliability limits.
Using and creating simple models for chip-level simulations.
Overseeing analog layout and chip layout in general.
Participating in chip floor planning and packaging design.
Actively participating in team discussions during the definition of the chip architecture.
Writing technical documentation.
Conducting lab evaluations, product validation, and debugging.
Supporting the development of production tests to ensure successful product delivery.
Requirements for this role include: A strong understanding of basic electronics concepts and the ability to apply them to solve design challenges.
Familiarity with the operation of analog circuits and basic knowledge of digital design.
Preferably, some university level experience in designing basic analog circuit blocks.
The ability to work collaboratively in a team with analog, digital, and verification designers, as well as other roles in the development process.
Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Willingness to listen, learn, and actively participate in team activities.
Good organizational skills and the ability to meet project deadlines.
A strong motivation for professional growth.
Minimum qualifications: A Master's degree in electronic engineering or a related field like physics electronics.
Experience with circuit design and simulation in Cadence environment during university studies is preferred but not mandatory.
