Position Summary The resource monitors the Functional Safety (FuSa) activities, the compliance with the safety plan, for the entire project timeline: from the RFQ stage until the SOP.
He/She will be responsible for FuSa process implementation of ISO26262-part2/part8.
He/She act as FuSa interface with the project stakeholders, is the point of contact to the customer and customer teams and responsible for communication on FuSa topics.
A day in life: · General and Task Management: Promote the Safety Culture across the Project team; Support the development and execution of R&D processes related to ISO26262 requirements; Support Project team on FuSa process and ISO 26262 requirements understanding; Monitor FuSa process implementation in order to fulfill OEM requirements.
· Project level: Is responsible for FuSa process tailoring according to applicable OEM safety requirements/ASIL; Author of work products of ISO 26262 part 2/8 on FuSa strategy/planning/confirmation (e.g.
DIA, Safety Plan, Safety Case, Confirmation measures); Support FuSa activities in charge to other R&D departments (e.g.
DFMEA, HW/SW safety analysis); Support the configuration management of FuSa work products according to Quality Management system; Support Quality Assurance activities during Project lifecycle; Manages and plans Project related FuSa audits/assessments by third parties (e.g.
Customer/Assessor); report results to Project Management/FuSa Coordinator/Manager; Contribute to budget estimation for FuSa related project activities; Drive meeting and workshop with customer on FuSa topics; Scale and discuss FuSa issues to the FuSa Coordinator/Manager or Project Manager.
· Company level: Support FuSa process definition and continuous improvement.
Relationship Management: Interact and communicate with other colleagues, departments, customers, suppliers and other service providers; Promotes the respect of planning for proper delivery of ISO26262 work products by proper communication skills with other departments.
· People Management: Coordinate FuSa management team allocated to the Project; Tutoring of junior FuSa engineers.
Must have: · Master's degree in Electrical Engineering / Electronics / Automotive / Mechatronics or related engineering or ISO 26262 certification; · Project experience in the automotive/consumer environments in OEM or Tier 1 supplier; · Knowledge of ISO 26262 and Quality processes (preferable Automotive SPICE)/ Automotive Engineering V-cycles; · Experience with management of technical open points inside of engineering team; · Experience in management of technical specifications (HW/SW, Diagnostic, Functional, HMI and Component Functions), impact analysis and traceability; · Familiarity with requirements management and associated tools (e.g.
: DOORS); · Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management; · Knowledge of project management activities and related tools (preferable Jira Atlassian); · Knowledge of risk/change/configuration management; · Experience in project team leading; · Experience of teaching a team; · Fluent Business English.
