YOUR TEAM The selected candidate will join the multi-disciplinary group of the iCub Tech facility, where electronics, mechanical, modeling, and software engineers collaborate, each with their expertise, to carry out common research. The candidate will work on taking the humanoid robots developed at the iCub Tech to the next level, preparing proof of concept technologies to address the fundamental challenges. The selected candidate will join the modelling team and contribute to the design processes underlying the new generation of humanoids. The project, ergoCub 2.0, is sponsored by INAIL.
This open position/research is funded by INAIL within the project: "ErgoCub-2.0 - Gestione integrata, predittiva e responsabile dei profili di rischio nei nuovi contesti lavorativi ibridi: collaborazione uomo-robot e intelligenza artificiale" (CUP J53C24000540005).
WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU SHINE Master's degree in software, mechatronics, control engineering, or related fields. Knowledge of math, physics, and robotics foundations. Experience with programming languages such as C/C++/Python. Experience with robotics middleware systems: e.g., ROS2, YARP, or OPC UA. Experience with MATLAB and Simulink and model-based design toolchains. Effective communication skills and ability to cooperate. Creative, proactive, and collaborative attitude. Proficient in English (written and oral). EXTRA AWESOME Knowledge of electronics and mechanical engineering. Experience with physical modeling (e.g., in Simscape). Experience with CAD software. Experience in digital engineering (i.e., digital twins, digital threads). Experience in co-design approaches for engineering. Experience with embedded software development.
