Job Description
• Register guests and assign rooms. Accommodate special requests whenever possible.
• Assist in pre-registration and blocking of rooms for reservations.
• Understand room status and room status tracking.
• Know room locations, types of rooms available, and room rates.
• Be sales-minded. Present options and alternatives to guests and offer assistance in making choices.
• Use suggestive selling techniques to sell rooms and to promote other services of the hotel.
• Coordinate room status updates with the housekeeping department by notifying housekeeping of all checkouts, late checkouts, early check-ins, special requests, and day use rooms.
• Possess a working knowledge of the reservations department. Take same day reservations and future reservations when necessary. Know cancellation procedures.
• Maintain guest room key storage, and supervise access to safe deposit boxes.
• Direct Bell Person to escort guests and transport their luggage to the room.
• Perform cashier-related functions like posting charges to guest accounts, raising paid outs, and currency exchange.
• Work closely with the housekeeping department in keeping room status reports up to date and coordinate requests for maintenance and repair work.
• Report any unusual occurrences or requests to the manager or assistant manager.
Qualifications
• Experience in the Opera program.
• Good personality and charm.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving skills, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management.
• Minimum 1 year work experience as Front Office Associate.
• Good command of both written and spoken English & Thai.
• Working knowledge of MS Office.
