Football Analyst- Italy Department: Operations Employment Type: Fixed Term - Full Time Location: Multiple locations (I) Compensation: £30,000 - £40,000 / year Description We currently have an opportunity for an experienced football analyst to join this fast developing area of our business. The successful candidate will be predominately remote but, if based in the UK, be required to come to our London office once per week. It is worth noting that due to the nature and fluctuations of the football schedule, a lot of evening and weekend work will be required. You would get time off out of season in lieu of this. This role will be focused on analysis for Italy Serie A and Serie B. Key Responsibilities Quality assurance on your expert league(s) Provide weekly team previews, ensure that there is continuity and consistency in the data that you collect and it supplies the necessary detailed information to provide value. Swiftly understand the methodology in which we collect and utilise data in football analytics. Build up and maintain an index of key sources with the intention of providing invaluable information to provide 'edge' against the market. Watch and analyse football from your league of expertise to ensure your knowledge and understanding is at a high level. Contribute to the ongoing development of our in-house data tracking and recording systems. Point of contact for the Quant and Trading teams Build strong relationships with the quant and trading teams to ensure processes are fluid and efficient. Recurring Tasks Manage your own schedule to ensure total coverage of all games played by teams in your specialist leagues. Holidays predominantly to be taken during INT breaks and the off-season. Responsible for following up on the delivery of any specific action points and deliverables, arising within the football analyst team. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise At least 3 years experience in a football analytics role and 2 years covering your specialist league. Experience working with football within a gambling related/applied environment. A keen eye for detail and accuracy. Excellent communication skills in both (fluent) written and spoken English as well as the language of your specialist league. A fast and stable internet connection for remote working. A strong understanding of football and a passion for all global competitions. Experience of using football analytic software is preferred but not essential. Access to elite level platforms such as Wyscout will be provided. Additional monitors and access to any additional specialist subscriptions if required. Benefits Salary depending on experience.
