Hauptaufgaben Incumbent performs a variety of duties outlined by the supervisor.
This includes cleaning and maintenance of storeroom, cleaning of the dining rooms, kitchen cooking areas including ventilating hoods, refrigerators, light fixtures, tables, chairs, counters, walls, equipment, dispensers, trash cans, latrines, etc.
Dusts, washes, waxes, and cleans with soap and water all areas from floor to ceiling.
Cleaning is accomplished as spills occur before, during and after meals with complete cleaning to be accomplished.
Incumbent checks serving lines and dining areas for spills during periods of feeding and takes immediate action to clean areas of everything including broken glass.
Cleans outside area within 50 feet of the dining facility.
As assigned, sets up cafeteria line, steam tables, and side service stands with hot and cold food items.
Serves food cafeteria style during meals and ensures portions are properly served and temperatures of food are maintained until served.
Insures that sufficient eating utensils are available for patrons and stocks and restocks utensils during each meal.
Incumbent operates a short order counter, which requires the use of a cash register and is accountable for funds generated.
Prepares vegetables and fruit for general cooking, salads and desserts and makes sandwiches as needed.
Performs a number of specific tasks associated with food preparation under the guidance of authorized personnel.
NOTE: Tour of duty is 40 hours per week on alternating shifts including weekends and holidays.
