We are looking for a Flight Operator Engineer on behalf of and in support to our client for their location in Rome, Italy. The selected candidate should show integrity and professionalism. Please note, the successful candidate will be employed by ATG Europe (or one of its subsidiaries). Furthermore, upon selection, they will be subject to a general security screening performed by an external provider (further information will be provided at interview stage).
The successful candidate will be tasked with, but not limited to:
Understand the mission objectives and the Spacecraft (S/C) design; Support to Mission Planning System (MPS) plan generation, and MPS product approval; Support for Flight Dynamics System (FDS) Orbital manoeuvres and FDS product approval; Authoring and validation of Flight Operations Procedures and Ground Operations Procedures; Identify S/C anomalies, and support throughout the whole anomaly troubleshooting cycle; Generate report and console logs; Preparation of monitoring displays; Generation of Flight Training Material; Monitoring and Commanding of the S/C; Extractions of TM data and analyse data to assess the S/C Health and Status; Implementation of configuration updates; Support to System Validation Test (SVT) Plan and Procedures; Support to System Operations Validation (SOV) Plan and Procedures; Support to Launch and Early Orbit Phase (LEOP) Plan and Procedures; Support to Commissioning Plan and Procedures; Support to Flight Operations Plan; Execution of SVT, SOV test campaigns; Execution of LEOP; Execution of Platform and Payload Commissioning; Participation to operations execution, including shift work and regular on-call. A Master's degree (or equivalent), preferably in the fields of Aerospace/Space Engineering, Physics or Mathematics; Knowledge of Database Manipulation and data analysis; Knowledge of Mission Planning Systems; Knowledge of S/C Flight dynamics (nice to have); Experience with interfacing with S/C supplier; Experience with Anomaly resolution; Experience with S/C Monitoring and Mission Control Systems; Basic knowledge of S/C Operations; Knowledge of basic programming (Linux shell scripting, Java, Python, MATLAB are preferred languages); Knowledge of Unix based OS MS Windows and Office Suite; Knowledge of CCSDS Packet Utilization Standard (PUS) rev. A and C; Knowledge of SCOS2000 Database Import ICD; Knowledge of Space Link Extension (SLE) protocol; Knowledge of Manufacturing and Operations Information System (MOIS) tool suite (nice to have); Knowledge of Procedure Language for Users in Test and Operations (PLUTO) (nice to have); Knowledge of ECSS-E-ST-70C (nice to have); Full professional proficiency in the English language is mandatory.
