As the number of flights is continuously increasing, the number of customers interested in D-Orbit services is exponentially growing.
For this reason, D-Orbit is hiring a mechanical engineer in the FLEET team.
As part of the FLEET STR team, you will be involved in the configuration and customization of already flight-qualified platforms providing safe and simple access to space for microsatellites, nanosatellites, and hosted payloads.
Guided by a customer-oriented approach, you will be responsible for designing the optimal way to integrate customer needs on the existing platforms.Tasks and ResponsibilitiesDetailed structural analysis mainly by FEA and by hand calculations; Preparation of technical reports and presentations; Structural on-boarding evaluation for customer proposals; Continuous exchanges with customers, suppliers, and launch providers; Specifications draft as per Space Engineering Standards (optional); Design of mechanical parts (optional); Qualifications and RequirementsExperience in structural analysis, both at system and sub-system level, focused on:Static analysis; Modal analysis;Dynamic analysis (Frequency, SRS, and Random vibrations); Super-elements knowledge; Composite materials knowledge is a plus; Knowledge of Nastran is mandatory (MSC suite is a plus); Knowledge of mechanics of materials and structural mechanics; Experience in CADsoftware is a plus; Proactive attitude and problem-solving skills; Ability to work in a team and individually.Nice to have skillsExperience with environmental test campaigns; EducationMSc in Space, Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering is required.LanguageFull professional proficiency in English is mandatory.Italian is a plus.Settore: Industria aerospazialeRuolo: Ingegneria/ProgettazioneGestisce altre persone: NoTipo di occupazione: Contratto a tempo indeterminatoInquadramento: Impiegato#J-18808-Ljbffr
