About the job: Overview Provide and distribute FI Bonds (EGBs and Covered Bonds), Derivatives and Private Placements, to institutional clients under his/her region. Understand and help develop new clients' relationships and promote the excellence in this commercial service offered to institutional clients to leverage the product business positioning and profitability. Originate proactively FI Bonds and Derivatives commercial opportunities for institutional clients. Distribute Private Placements in different currencies, focusing on Sovereign / SSA's / Covered Bond issuers. Provide a specialized advisory service to the clients about the fixed income (FI) market prices and flows, offering them the most suitable investment opportunities considering their bond portfolio exposure (in terms of rating, maturities, industry, etc.) Offer tailor-made investment and hedging solutions to the clients. Collaborate closely with the Global FI unit to coordinate the commercial and product strategy for institutional clients. Distribute among institutional clients the operations originated by the DCM (Debt Capital Markets) unit. Focus on improving DCM distribution capabilities and credentials. Quote and negotiate secondary market orders received from institutional clients, coordinating the pricing and deal closing with the Trading and Structuring desks, as required. Monitor the settlement and post-trade process, helping in solving key incidents and problems if needed. Execute secondary market transactions orders received from both the clients and/or the Trading desks. Price clients' request in coordination with the Trading desks, and support Trading in finding potential buyers/sellers for specific positions of the trading book. Track the unit activity through in-house tools and data sources in the region under his/her scope monitoring main activity indicators, such as P&L and hit/miss ratio. Follow up the operations' pipeline and the budget compliance. Interact permanently with the clients, organizing periodic visits together with different Global Markets units (as Research and Syndication). Focus on reinforcing BBVA relationship with the clients and identifying new business opportunities. Collaborate with the FI E-Commerce unit in the commercialization of electronic platforms to the customers - Promote the bank's positioning as a key player in the market in the region under his/her responsibility. Comply with both internal and external operational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Take part in different risks committees to manage the operation and/or credit lines' approval, when required. Stay abreast of the specific regulation that may affect the product commercialization to the institutional client segment under his/her responsibility. Focus on advising clients about the new regulation and offering them the most suitable transactions. Assist in the unit in coordinating with Legal and Compliance CIB the clients' on-boarding process. Assist in the communication with the client to get the required documentation. Generate recurrent income in order to meet the revenues targets that are set each year in the Global Sales unit and the Global Sales & Structuring overall budget. Focus on boosting revenues through GM product's origination with the client portfolio under his/her responsibility. Report to inline manager on a periodic and ad-hoc basis about main performance indicators.
What are we looking for? Academic background and experience: Academic background in Finance. Specific qualifications like EFA, CFA are a plus. More than 5 years' experience working with Italian institutional clients. Highly valued experience in fixed income. Good command of Bloomberg and Excel. Language skills: Bilingual/Native level of Italian and English. Soft skills: Excellent commercial & communication skills. Proactive personality. Team player. Commercially orientated. This position will require the candidate to have a valid Mifid certification. In case the candidate is not certified, they will have to obtain the pertaining certification upon the incorporation to the role.
