We're currently looking for an excited and talented Junior Firmware Engineer to help us push our organization forward by helping us in the following areas:
The Firmware Engineer is responsible for developing Firmware for embedded units.
Main activities:
Develop SW code Deliver the modules and the related documentation Define and maintain the detailed design of the software module Perform unit tests on the developed software module Perform root cause analysis on SW defects Work with Project leader, HW designer, and SW designer to estimate the effort to develop the functions Escalate FW issues and risks to Software Project Leader Work with SW Team and Software Project Leader to understand the Customer, System, and SW Requirements and SW Design specifications and to define HW/SW partitioning Work with team members to share knowledge and guarantee the company know-how Technical discussions with customers (internal or external) to explain solutions or understand requests properly If you feel you're the right fit, please don't hesitate to apply! For this role, we're requiring the following experiences:
Electronic Engineering Degree, Information Science Degree At least 3-5 years experience in real-time 8/16/32 bit embedded systems developments High C/C++ and Assembler programming skills including programming rules (MISRA C) High skills in Communication Protocols (CAN, LIN, I2C, SPI) HW electronics know-how: 8-16-32 bit architecture, I/O standard interface, schematics reading, etc. Deep knowledge of tool chain usage (emulator, compiler, etc.) Knowledge of Laboratory Instruments (oscilloscopes, signal generators, etc.) Diagnostics Protocols (UDS, J1939) AUTOSAR expertise (configuration, integration, and usage of the Vector tools) Polarion and Git knowledge will be considered a plus Willing to short trips in Italy, Europe, USA, Asia Fluent in English The above competencies must be matured in the automotive area or other large-scale markets Thank you for taking the time to consider us.
