Firmware Engineer

Envolve Consulting, an independent company active in management search, selects a Firmware Engineer for a prestigious multinational company operating in the electronic sector. The Firmware Engineer is responsible for the design and development of microcontroller software for technical applications and the test of the software in a simulated environment. He/She/They will be based in Belluno and report to the Manager Electronics Development. Essential functions: • Accomplish specific deliverables in new product development, sustaining engineering, and cost reduction projects • Create Design, Coding and Specification documentation in support of defined requirements • Produce quality focused code to fulfill defined requirements • Participate in code reviews • Actively participate in design discussions and reviews. Required qualifications and experience: • Electronics or computer science degree • 3/5 years of experience in the R&D dept. of HVAC or refrigeration companies • Knowledge and expertise in the Assembly language of Microchip and NXP microcontrollers • Knowledge and expertise in the C programming language • Knowledge and familiarity with the architecture of 8/16/32 bits microprocessors • Capability in the reading of electrical schemes • Expertise in the use of measuring tools (tester, calibrators, oscilloscope, etc.) • Experience in development of low level drivers • Autonomy in becoming familiar with new development tools or new microcontrollers • Expertise in all the different realization phases of firmware projects • Autonomy in the definition of the technical choices • Code Review aptitude • Capability in the analysis and modification of codes written by others • Good English knowledge • Autonomy in work organization and deadline meeting Competency: • Action Oriented • Collaborates • Communication Effectively • Plans and Align • Drives Results • Tech Savvy Based in Belluno, smart working twice a week.
