We are currently seeking a Firmware DSP Sustaining Team Leader to join our dynamic team in Castel Guelfo, Italy!
This position will lead from a Firmware DSP standpoint the sustaining activities to support the products after the release into production.
The Team Leader will evaluate the requirements and defects entered into the tracker by the offering team, service team and Product engineer.
He/She will coordinate the sustaining team, evaluate the effort and make the plans to accomplish the agreed tasks to ensure the delivery on time of the firmware releases in which are contained the agreed features or fixes.
The role requires intensive communication with several stakeholders to capture high level requirements, feedback from field and acceptance criteria with the purpose of translating them into clear executable tasks for the team.
What kind of work will you be doing?
Assist the team in being responsible for output of the test effort.
Participate in the periodic meetings with Service, Offering, Product engineers, Quality and Manufacturing during which new features to be added to the products and issues occurred in the field which require FW support are discussed.
Coordinate the process to enter the agreed FW tasks into the tracker, evaluate the effort for each of them and provide a schedule.
Coordinate the emission of the new FW releases with the correct documentation required by the process.
Promote and maintain the highest possible environment of teamwork and collaboration.
Guide his/her team members on safety aspects in the laboratory.
What will make you successful?
Good knowledge on C/C++.
Excellent planning and communication skills are required.
Good knowledge on electrical power components.
Good knowledge of the PLM (Product Life Cycle management) and processes.
Demonstrated leadership skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with employees and leadership staff.
Good English language knowledge.
Available for global travel for meetings and testing.
University degree or Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Software Engineering or equivalent.
At least 3 years of experience.
Shorter experiences may be evaluated based on the specific skills of the candidate.
Experience in equivalent areas (e.g., UPS, Power converter or low voltage electrical distribution) is a plus.
