We are currently seeking a Firmware Engineer to join our dynamic team in Castel Guelfo, Italy!
This position is in charge of designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting firmware code (IC embedded code), contributing to code reviews and team performance improvement. Read and understand the diagram of hardware and embedded systems. Define the tests to validate the firmware design and write proper documentation. Motivate the team members and guarantee the correct flow of information to avoid misunderstanding and lack of clarity. Provide technical support in case the customer requires it. Analyze specific applications providing active support and service.
What kind of work will you be doing?
Work with the Firmware team to design, analyze and troubleshoot software for allocated functions, understanding the working principle of hardware.
Provide the firmware test specifications and support during the life of the product.
Work with the tech-support team to solve field problems.
Cooperate with other engineering functions during the definition of the product specification.
Support the testing team for the definition of the test plan and review the test results.
Produce technical documentation in line with the process requirements such as drawings and component specifications.
What will make you successful?
Excellent planning and communication skills are required.
Good knowledge of C/C++, version control systems, and DSP architecture, preferably TI oriented.
University degree or technical diploma in Software Engineering or equivalent.
Experience in equivalent areas (e.g., UPS, Power converter, or low voltage electrical distribution) is a plus.
Good knowledge of PLM (Product Life Cycle Management) and processes.
Good team working attitude and communication.
Customer-oriented and availability to travel.
Good English language knowledge.
