RINA is currently recruiting for a Fire Prevention Engineer to join its office in Genoa, Livorno or Milan, Italy within the Energy Engineering Solutions Division.
Mission This role focuses on drafting Fire Safety technical documentation, analyses, and studies aimed at developing engineering documentation (feasibility, basic and detailed) within multidisciplinary projects and obtaining permits.
Key Accountabilities The main tasks that will be carried out are:
Draft of technical documentation (reports and drawings) required in the framework of Fire Prevention Legislation (D.P.R. 151/2011);
Carry out technical analyses and studies aimed at developing Fire Risk Assessment for industrial, civil, commercial activities (D.M. 3/8/2015, D.M. 3/9/2021);
Develop hydraulic calculations and technical specification for fire safety systems;
Carry out fire load calculations and determination of fire resistance of structures;
Draft of evacuation plans and drawings (D.M. 2/9/2021);
Develop project schedules and deliverable timelines under the supervision of more experienced engineers;
Ensure that all assigned activities are executed in accordance with the RINA QMS.
Education Master's Degree in Engineering General
Qualifications Preferably previous experience of 2-3 years in a similar role;
Good Knowledge of main fire prevention technical and permitting regulations (D.P.R. 151/2011, D.M. 3/8/2015, D.M. 3/9/2021) and of design of firefighting systems (according to UNI, EN, NFPA, FM Global, etc.);
Good knowledge of Fire Safety Engineering and CFD software;
Good knowledge of CAD software;
Good knowledge of English, written and spoken.
Additional (not mandatory) qualifications:
Enrollment as "Professionista Antincendio" registered in the lists of the M.I. as per art. 16 of D.Lgs. 139/2006;
Knowledge of permitting procedures within Seveso Directive (D.Lgs. 105/2015);
Knowledge of Explosive Atmospheres (ATEX) technical standards and areas classification according to IEC EN 60079-10-1 and IEC EN 60079-10-2;
Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety standards and requirements, and competences for drafting the relevant technical documentation (D.Lgs. 81/08).
