We are looking for a Financial Reporting Accountant to join our Group Accounting Policies and IFRS Reporting team.
Key responsibilities: Definition, development and updating of Group IFRS 17 data model consisting of group accounting manual and related guidelines, chart of accounting, reporting hierarchies, and data validations.
Preparation and review of annual and semi-annual audited consolidated financial statements, unaudited quarterly consolidated statements or accounts and other required filings, particularly with a focus on IFRS 17 data.
Preparation and review of quarterly and annual regulatory submissions to the Italian Regulatory Authority and other applicable regulators.
Support in preparing reports to the GCFO and Board on the Group's IFRS 17 KPIs.
Support regarding process and efficiency improvement, particularly with a focus on systems and tools.
Internal & external stakeholder management, such as risk management teams, or Group auditor.
Support on tasks performed on other legal entities in the Group.
Support on group projects as they arise.
Requirements: Our ideal candidate will meet the following requirements: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field, with preference for academic studies in the financial sector.
Bachelor's degree in actuarial science or business statistics with specialization in the insurance sector may also be taken into consideration.
Minimum of 2/3 years of progressive experience in accounting, with a focus on international financial accounting.
Strong knowledge of general accounting and IFRS.
Must have excellent Microsoft Office skills – Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
Italian and English working proficiency.
Nice to have: Proven experience working to tight reporting deadlines.
Ability to work on own initiative with an ambitious attitude.
Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across various internal and external functions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work within a multi-national team.
Experience with Tagetik is beneficial.
Experience in the Insurance industry is desirable.
Solvency II reporting experience is beneficial.
