Financial Controller, Giotti Scandicci, Italy MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Ownership and responsibility for all Controllership activities for Giotti, Italy Flavour Solutions legal entity. Business Partnering with Giotti FD (dotted line) and Giotti leadership team to provide insight and advice on all aspects of accounting for all entities under control. Ensuring timely and accurate financial information for internal and external reporting purposes. Monitoring compliance with both group policies (US GAAP) and local requirements. Managing relationship with local auditors to ensure the proper planning and execution of financial audits (on time/on budget). Providing advice and counsel to the business and the EMEA management team in finance & accounting areas. As a Finance representative, participating in/lead cross-regional/functional projects, including restructuring projects or new investments/divestments. Representing Giotti management in, internal and external, accounting, reporting and other financial meetings and negotiations, with a particular emphasis on ODV. Managing relationships with Statutory Board and Supervisory Board. Contributing to the maintenance of strong internal controls. Manage quarterly risk reviews. Initiate/monitor remediation plans. For SOX purpose, be an Entity or Process owner where appropriate. Fully managing Balance Sheet and required Blackline reconciliations. Main keeper of policies and procedures for T&E, Indirect PO, FCPA and New supplier creations. Supervision of Treasury function and all payroll processes. Preparing insurance data for annual premium review. Business Partnering with Italy tax and coordinating finance input with new legal/tax requirements (tax Framework, Transfer pricing etc.). CANDIDATE PROFILE University educated in finance / business area 10 + years of experience working in audit firm or financial department within large company. Exposure to US / international reporting required. Audit experience is mandatory Fluent in Italian and English Advanced accounting/ reporting skills (with a significant exposure to US GAAP) + audit background Confidence to manage complex technical matters Strong communications skills: communicating to Executive Leadership Team and US Corporate management Ability to manage cross-regional finance team Project management skills Methodical approach to problem solving and resolution of technical issues Excellent analytical and presentational skills Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple, often conflicting, deadlines A team player comfortable working across a diverse organisation and different cultures Able to challenge and improve existing work practices Proficiency in working efficiently in an ERP environment (preferably SAP)#LI-DNI
