Transportation & Logistics • Oversee the day-to-day Accounting operations including A/R, A/P, Credit, GL, Capital Expenditure, Payroll, Treasury, Revenue Recognition, and Cost Accounting.
• Prepare timely internal monthly accounts (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cashflows, and Analysis) for review by the Regional and Global Accounting teams.
• Liaise with external advisors on the preparation of statutory financial information and tax computations.
• Oversee all tax and regulatory compliance issues including the preparation and submission of information to statutory authorities for Payroll, VAT, and Corporation Tax.
• Provide required information/documentation for Internal Control Evaluations and Internal/External Audits.
• Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost reduction opportunities.
• Contribute to decisions regarding financial strategy.
• Maintain a good relationship and communicate frequently with Operations and Management teams.
• Provide support to the Senior Financial Controller, specifically during the Annual Budgeting process.
• Participate in the negotiation of contracts (sales and purchases) and policies.
Minimum Requirements: Proven and strong experience as a Financial Accountant/Controller4+ years of Accounting and Finance experience (preferably in the Global Logistics Industry)Accounting Qualification (Country Specific)Local tax and regulatory knowledge, including Statutory Chart of Accounts (if required in Country)Good understanding of business as well as up-to-date knowledge of Accounting Rules & Regulations (preferably including US GAAP)Proficient in MS Office, including Excel Formulas and Pivot TablesStrong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detailProven leadership attitude and skillsAbility to drive through changeFluent in EnglishHome office policy: 26 days per year
