Bobst company is working on the development and production of state-of-the-art digital printing machines for the label industry.
Bobst is a global player in the printing market and in order to support our fast-growing company, we are looking for a professional and highly motivated System Engineer , position will be based in Bobst Florence (BFL).
One of the primary objectives is to collaborate with the marketing team to specify product requirements.
The System Engineer serves as a link between Program Management, Mechanical, Electrical, and Software Engineering during product development, ensuring traceability of all activities to prevent misalignments and misunderstandings in accordance with the project scope and timeline.
Main responsibilities: Translate marketing/customer requirements into product requirements to define product features in coordination with key stakeholders (e.g.
Marketing, Service, Operations etc.)
Support and monitor the definition of technical specifications in collaboration with technical departments (Mechanical, Electrical, Software) Conduct feasibility analysis with internal stakeholders Plan R&D activities in coordination with Program Manager and monitor design progress throughout the product lifecycle Support Test Engineer in creating test plans Problem-solving for systematic issues on machines Perform troubleshooting on the latest machine version before official product release Ensure the traceability of activities and issues using dedicated tools (e.g.
DevOps) Contribute to identifying new suppliers and new technologies (market scouting) and drive technical discussions with suppliers Act as a link between technical departments (Mechanical, Electrical, Software) during product development to avoid misalignments and misunderstandings in accordance with project requirements and timelines Take care of Failure Mode and Effect Analysis from a system point of view of the product Facilitate the product handover to the Service team to ensure readiness for post-launch support and troubleshooting Competencies and Skills: Broad knowledge of Electronics, Software, Mechanics, Fluidics, and Materials Analytical skills and clear rationale behind assessments Relevant experience in industrial environment and/or machinery industry Data analysis Education and Languages: Degree in Mechanical/Software/Electrical Engineering or equivalent Fluent in Italian and English; French is considered a plus Willingness to travel up to 20%.
