In addition, s/he will oversee local logistics and supply chain management.
As a site manager, this will include the local forecasting, budgeting and reporting, in compliance with existing fiscal and civil regulations, as well as with specific company policies and accounting principles.
The Finance Director will develop a broad understanding of finance targets across local Ferring organization and build capacity for the local finance team to develop.
The role plays an important role as a business partner to the cluster management team, while at the same time, being accountable to drive key processes at the operational level.The role reports to the Cluster General Manager and functionally to the Head of finance WEC (Western Europe & Canada) and is based in Milan, Italy (preferred location) or Madrid, Spain.Your day at FerringTeam management: Carry out the selection, the motivation and ensure optimal training of financial team.
Translate business objectives into team's Finance objectives and manage performance.Finance strategy and business partnering: Advise and challenge business with timely and proactive analyses, assessments of variances to the plans, financial impacts and risks.
Inform timely on any unexpected issue impacting potentially the financial performance of the Country and Area.
Propose/implement corrective actions.
Identify areas of improvement in business and organization and propose implementation plan.
Monitor key ratios.
Keep robust information system environment on key data, leveraging on company tools.Finance, Accounting & Statutory: The Finance Director is accountable for the month end closure reporting in coordination with our Finance Centre of Excellence in Lisbon, Portugal.
Perform Internal Controls.
Review and approve taxes, monitor compliance and manage tax queries.
Perform statutory reporting by ensuring accounting records and reports are accurate, duly approved and comply with the Statutory Accounting Principles, in close collaboration with local specialized providers.
Keep fluent communication with BPO, reviewing performance and proposing corrective actions if required.Financial budgeting, forecasting and planning: Set and contribute to achieving financial goals and targets, manage the forecast P&L and cash flow, perform budget and forecast process, carry out the development of budget policies and procedures.Coordinate supply chain activities, both inbound and outbound, alerting on deviations and proposing corrective measures.
Follow up and control in market sales performance.Projects and improvements: Support HQ/Corporate Finance in the implementation of corporate Finance programs, processes or procedures which are to be locally applied and also drive continuous improvement initiatives.Compliance, integrity and risk: Strict implementation and adherence to internal guidelines, instructions, processes and systems, fiscal and finance regulations, local as well as global.
Inform relevant parties timely on potential issues, assess the risks and propose corrective measures.
Monitor ICS process and act as Compliance advisor on ethic related.Behind our innovation...There's youUniversity degree in Finance or Economics.10- years' experience in Finance and sound experience in multinational environments.Strong solid understanding of financial and accounting principles and processes.Solid experience in leading teams, on- and off shore.Experience with SAP-HANA implementation will be a plus.Strong project and change management skills.
An analytical mindset and be a self-starter, being able to see opportunities and solve problems independently.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
