For a branch of a multinational Group operating in the industrial business and owned by a Private Equity Fund, I'm looking for a Finance Director who will be reporting to the Group CFO in HQ and hierarchically to the Italian GM, supervising a small-medium team in accounting, reporting, and customer service.
Client Details The Group is a multinational Company with an Italian branch operating in the industrial and manufacturing sector and based close to Cremona and Parma.
Description The candidate will be part of the Finance Department and will be responsible for the following activities: Manage the accounting processes for the Italian branch, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements and the Group's accounting guidelines.
Lead and manage a small team located close to Cremona, fostering collaboration and communication to maintain high productivity levels.
Executing monthly closing entries, reconciliations, and management of deferred and accrual accounts.
Coordinating month-end closing activities and overseeing daily operational matters.
Liaise with the HQ finance team to ensure smooth financial integration of the Italian branch numbers into the Group's consolidated reporting.
Preparing and maintaining financial ledgers, including analytical transactions.
Managing balance sheet reconciliation and review processes.
Ensuring effective cash planning follow-up.
Handling VAT declarations, Intrastat, Intracommunity listing, and other reporting.
Preparing annual accounts, financial statements, and statistics.
Taking up HR administration regarding the local payroll and interacting with the payroll partner.
Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and implement practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial stakeholders to support audit and tax compliance activities.
Prepare timely and accurate financial reports for senior management, providing insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
Participate in Group (M&A) projects where relevant.
Profile Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
10 to 15 years of relevant experience in accounting.
Experience in Big Four audit company preferred.
Excellent communication skills in English and Italian.
Experience in managing a local team of accountants and collaborating with the remote HQ team.
Strong technical accounting skills.
Experience with ERP systems is a must; experience with Navision is a plus.
Can-do attitude and problem-solving skills.
Entrepreneurial mindset.
Strong analytical, presentation, and coaching skills.
