**Position Overview**:
RTX seeks visionary, action-oriented people to lead the finance and operations team of the Applied Research & Technology site operations and finance
**Primary Responsibilities**
Company Operations:
- manage all the operational aspects of the Company supporting the business with a tactical approach (day-by-day activities) and strategic approach (planning on a longer basis)
- timely report to General Manager and the Board of Director the status of Company (financial, organizational and status of main activities)
Project execution:
- work with Group Leaders and Project Leaders ensuring that projects are managed properly achieving the cost, schedule and quality targets
- measure and report the proper KPI (key process indicators) in order to drive successfully the projects
- drive the project planning activities in the Company
Resource Management:
- ensure that all required activities are completed on time (training, performance evaluation, direct hours reporting,)
- support Group Leaders in managing resources in order to grant the career development, the proper engagement and the skill enforcement
- monitor the effective use of resources and advise Management on this matter
Finance:
- Manage Finance related aspects supervising the Finance Manager in all aspect related to finance
- Manage banking access, payments and approvals and perform banking process payments as part of the standard company procedures
Continuous Improvement:
- lead the Company activities related to CORE in alignment with Collins plans
- implement improvement actions on the critical business area, improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
- report to General Manager and the Board of Director the status of activities
Global Trade:
- Collaborate with the Global Trade focal points and Global Trade management to guarantee compliance with policies
EH&S:
- Lead the program related to EH&S to maintain an healthy and safe working place and comply with the local and UTC policies
Data Privacy:
- Lead the program related to privacy to maintain compliancy with data privacy laws and policies
Contracts & Supplier Management:
- support General Manager in Company management: purchase order approval, software acquisition approval, contract definition with suppliers and customers, legal related activities including Law 231 specific needs and obligations
Office Management:
- Supervise the Office Manager for all aspects related to the office management,
**Basic Qualifications**
- Masters of Engineering or Economics.
- 10+ years of experience in managing resources in structured companies.
- Capabilities in business project management, KPI measurement and reporting, policy and procedure documentation, and continuous improvement activities.
- Unquestionable ethics and integrity with a high degree of transparency and trust.
- Good communication skill with all Company levels.
- Executive Reporting to enhance management's understanding of the business to ensure relevancy and usefulness for decision making.
- Customer focused and commitment to make it happen.
- Perceives the impact and implications of decisions on overall business.
- An unreasonable combination of risk-tolerance, impatience, optimism, empathy, and vision, and a burning desire to make a difference.
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Strong Experience in of Planning & Control
- Experience in project management
- Contracts and legal background
- Experience in reporting to Board of Director and Upper level management
