The Role: Key Responsibilities
In this role, the candidate will be responsible for the Italian local accounting of our branch based in Milan. It will require weekly travel to our Italian offices or as and when required.
General LedgerPreparing, issuing and registering all Italian invoices (including those of contractors and their expenses), CEE and extra invoices where requiredRegistration of bank statements including Desio, Credem, Intesa EUR, Intesa USD; Unicredit, Nexi cards and Barclays cardsCalculation of VAT and withholding taxesQuarterly and annual VAT communicationCertification of withholding taxes for contractorsKeeping of company books and VAT registersVerification of costs for Italian offices balancing (including contractors)Working on invoicing systems in Charles Taylor namely, Intrastat and EsterometroFinancePayment of Italian office rents (monthly and quarterly)Payment of taxes: VAT, withholding tax, company taxes, waste tax for all offices, stamp duty on invoicing, tax on certification of company booksPayment of contractors' and suppliers' invoicesPayment of salariesPayment of intercompany invoices when other IES offices require supportReportingWorking capital report once a week for CTA Italy and SwedenCashflow once a week for CTA Italy and SwedenPreparing monthly management reports including fee earners performance, client data, office/lines of business performance, ad hoc financial data (e.g. WIP)Monthly ClosingAccrual of assetsAccrual of utilities and servicesPrepaymentsCheck invoicing file with reconciliationAged debtorBank reconciliationsPayroll including 13th/14th accruals and TFRReconciliation Barclays cardsBooking of contractors' costs and WIP communicated by LondonAnnual ClosingVerification of all the accounts with adjustment and settlement entries3 audits with the AuditorPreparation of statutory financial statements for tax calculation and filing including a verification of all foreign IES financial statementsRequired SkillsBSc in Accounting or Finance (Economia e Commercio), or a diploma in Accounting (Ragioneria).Prior experience in Accounting (contabilità generale) or working for an Auditor (Commercialista).Availability to work in the Milan office and, where required, other Group offices in Italy.Bilingual, fluent in both Italian and English, both speaking, reading, and writing.Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.Good team player also ability to work independently.Strong interpersonal/people skills.Why join Charles Taylor?
