Responsibilities:Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, and asset accounting.Execute ongoing accounting tasks, including communication with national and international customers and suppliers.Maintain and reconcile accounts.Generate payment proposal lists and process incoming/outgoing payments.Oversee the dunning procedure, managing outstanding receivables and the dunning system.Coordinate debt collection activities, including preparing and submitting invoice data and corresponding with debt collection agencies.Manage the end-to-end process of invoice processing, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company policies.Facilitate expense reimbursement processes, payroll processing activities, and management of outgoing invoices.Implement efficient systems for tracking and managing financial transactions to streamline preparatory accounting activities.Support the preparation of timely and accurate monthly financial statements for our German parent company and subsidiaries, including equity accounting.Support the Head of Finance & Operations and the executive team with ad-hoc inquiries.Support the continuous improvement of our Finance & Accounting processes and policies.Act as the day-to-day contact for our external tax advisor.Collaborate closely with key internal stakeholders, providing financial insights and support as needed.Profile:You have 2+ years of relevant professional experience in a start-up, in-house, or external accounting firm preferably in an international environment.Strong understanding of preparatory accounting processes and financial controls.You have extensive knowledge of German HGB.You have ideally worked with some finance tools already and have familiarity with other ERP software as well.You possess technical skills in data processing exercises, including data cleaning techniques and automation using macros.You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English - German is a requirement.You have strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and you enjoy working with data.Ownership mentality, financial savviness, creativity, and drive to get things done define some of your professional mindset.You are a self-starter with a track record of independently leading new initiatives.You bring a passion for working and learning in a fast-growing, mission-focused business.Knowledge of international accounting standards, e.g. IFRS and US GAAP is a plus.We Offer:Meaningful: 50% of people will develop cancer in the course of their lives.
