Role Summary The Field Service Technician coordinates and attends troubleshooting and repairs of all Flowserve and Non-Flowserve valve-actuator-positioner products for customers in industries such as oil and gas, chemical, power, nuclear, coal, mining, and water/wastewater. The job involves coordination with the Commercial Team, major manufacturing plants, Engineering/Quality departments, QRCs, and CSCs in the respective region.
The technician will plan repair and installation of equipment, oversee start-up, conduct maintenance, and monitor the performance of products at our customers' locations. This position requires an experienced engineer/technician who can provide confident expertise in the face of operational problems.
Responsibilities: Actively support a positive HSE culture to reduce lost time injuries and maintain a safe work environment.Make direct, in-person service calls in response to customer requests.Assess mechanical/instrument/electric-related problems and take actions for resolution.Oversee the full cycle of repair: disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, and assembly.Ensure that equipment is installed successfully and on schedule.Check equipment prior to start-up and assess start-up performance.Work side-by-side with customers' personnel, and lead work crews as required.Monitor the maintenance and performance of Flowserve equipment.Train customers in the proper procedures for operating and maintaining equipment.Identify field service sales opportunities for follow-up.Collaborate with Flowserve Sales & ComOps Team to ensure a coordinated approach to serving our customers.Maintain organized, accurate, timely records using Flowserve designated systems.Perform inspections and testing on customer site, workshop, or third-party repair facility.Complete and submit the final report prior to leaving the job site.Requirements: Technical High School (HTL) and/or Bachelor in engineering or similar.3-5 years of experience in assembly, testing, troubleshooting of valve-actuator-positioner product lines.Proficient in factory testing requirements for valves, actuators, and positioners.Excellent documentation skills regarding service reports.Clear, accurate, and professional verbal and written communication.Able to work well without supervision and interface well with customers.Proficient computer skills for accessing and navigating systems.Willingness to have the necessary immunizations for international travel.Independently organize travel, rental car, flight, hotel, and related site access/permits.Travels will be required.
