Your new company Our client is a multi-national company engaged in the engineering, manufacturing, and servicing of advanced technology fluid handling and control equipment in a variety of markets worldwide. The products of the company include pumps, valves, mechanical seals, and related services.
Your new role The Field Service Engineer coordinates / attends troubleshooting and repairs of all valve-actuator-positioner products for customers in industries such as oil and gas, chemical, Power, nuclear, coal, mining and water/wastewater industries. The job involves coordination with Commercial Team, Major manufacturing plants, Engineering / Quality departments, QRCs and CSCs in the respective region.
Make direct, in-person service calls in response to customer requests;Assess mechanical / instrument / Electric related problems and take actions aiming at resolution;Oversee the full cycle of repair: disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, and assembly;Ensure that equipment is installed successfully and on schedule;Check equipment prior to start-up and assess start-up performance;Work side-by-side with our customer's personnel, and lead work crews as required;Train customers in the proper procedures for operating and maintaining;Identify field service sales opportunities for sales to follow up, quote and presentation to the customer;Collaborate effectively with the supporting organizations of the company, including the repair centers and commercial organization;Maintain organized, accurate, timely records, including daily reports, jobs quoted, jobs performed, and time and materials charged using designated systems and processes;Perform Inspections and testing on customer site, workshop or third-party repair facility;Perform start up troubleshooting on site or via online support;Inspection / reporting of damaged equipment on site;Communicate and support with root cause analysis within FLS and the customer;Complete and submit the final report prior to leaving job site;What you'll need to succeed Technical High School or similar;3-5 years of experience in assembly, test, trouble shooting of valve-actuator – positioner product linea;Proficient in all factory testing requirements for valves, actuators and positioners including testing software and troubleshooting of digital products;Autonomous, extensive travel, both domestic and international;Excellent documentation skills regarding service reports and other documentation utilising AMP;Able to work well without supervision and interface well with customers always presenting a positive perception of the company;Independently organize travel, rental car, flight, hotel, and related site access / permits;Fluent Italian.
