You will find that our established strength, commitment to our core values and team focus provides an engaging work environment and offers exceptional opportunities for personal and career development.Job DescriptionProvide on-site support for the Instron product range, including, but not limited to calibration, maintenance, installation, training and basic troubleshooting of EM, SH and CEAST materials testing systems and other after sales warranty services, as specified by the Service Operations Supervisor or Team Lead.Ensure that all requests for onsite service support for the Instron product range are dealt with in a prompt and professional manner.Proactively look for leads for new machines, accessories and other services.Be familiar with the company's product life cycle in order to be able to advise customers regarding obsolescence.Report on competitive equipment and activities at customer sites.Ensure that adequate preparation and planning is made before each visit so that the job is completed correctly without the need for further follow up visits.Ensure that planning for visits including travel is carried out in the most cost-efficient way and that there is smooth pre-visit and post visit communication with the customer.Have a basic understanding of our 80 applications.Responsible for quality of own work.Ensure all administration is accurate and up to date, to the latest company requirements using the tools provided.To submit expenses and other paperwork within the required timeframe.Contribute to the company's efforts to improve customer satisfaction, reduce costs and improve quality using the ITW Tool Box and other process's as required.Carry out any other ad hoc duties, as requested, in line with the requirements of the role in order to support the Service department and wider business.KEY COMPETENCIESAbility to pick up technical training, processes and systems quicklyBasic awareness of costs and own impact on marginFlexible, resilient, open mindedComputer LiterateWell organized with good time management skillsGood written and verbal communication skills including fluency in English and the local languageExcellent interpersonal skillsTeam player.Customer oriented.KEY EXPERIENCESRelevant experience in a similar role.Technical fault-finding experience with both electro-mechanical and servo hydraulic systems.QualificationsRelevant technical qualifications in mechatronics, mechanics, electrical, electronic engineering or equivalentFull, clean local driving license without restrictions.Additional InformationTypically 9 to 5 role, but must be flexible to customer requirements.Ability to travel (including internationally occasionally) and stay away from home at short notice.A variety of environments with limited physical discomfort due to temperature, noise, dust etc.The job holder will be required to be on their feet for a large part of the day, and some manual handling is required.This is an opportunity to join a high-performance team where you can have a significant impact.
