Eaton Electrical Division is looking for a Field Service Engineer to be based in our offices in Padova, Italy.
The Field Service Engineer is responsible for providing on-site technical support for Life Safety Product and UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) for commissioning, maintenance and repair in the assigned area.
What you'll do:
Ensure full compliance with workplace safety rules according to current laws and Eaton's internal EHS regulations, with ongoing training and updates. Periodically review assigned tasks, resolve issues, and schedule appointments with customers. Perform assigned technical interventions (Commissioning, maintenance and repair). Complete Field Service reports, sending copies to both the customer and the assistance department. Inform the manager of any corrective actions regarding the interventions carried out. Archive the Field Service report on a shared archive. Provide technical support to ASP (Authorized Service Partner) and Customers. Deliver basic training to customers. Check and manage the assigned spare parts warehouse. Attend specific service training courses in Italy or at Eaton's international offices (Training Centers), conducted in Italian or English. Qualifications:
Technical high school diploma or higher. Minimum of 3 to 5 years of on-site service experience. Knowledge of UPS systems and/or lighting control centers is a plus. Skills:
Strong knowledge of electronics and electrical engineering. Excellent command of Italian and good knowledge of English. Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using specialized service software. Experience with complex systems, strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong customer relationship skills.
