Responsibilities / Tasks At GEA Imaforni we are seeking a highly motivated Service Engineer for bakery technologies. This position will provide strong technical support to our customers both at site and/or remotely/on-line. This position will also support the Service Team on service development.
The role is based in Verona, Italy and requires performing inspection visits/maintenance tasks at customer sites (worldwide) approximately 120-150 days/year (non-consecutive).
Your Tasks Perform site troubleshooting and service audits - "Health checks"Perform service maintenance, both planned and unplannedProvide on-line and on-site assistancePrepare and execute site visits/maintenance tasks at Customer sitesPrepare comprehensive service reports and support the preparation of service offersPerform electrical and mechanical inspections, adjustments, repairs, and reporting to the CustomerSupport the development of the service businessSupport GEA Region and Country service organizations, performing training on the job and remote trainingYour Profile / Qualifications Your Skills Preferred background in electrical/automation, preferably in the bakery industryCapability to understand customer needs/requests (internal/external customers) supporting the growth of the service businessAbility to read and understand PLC codesSoftware knowledge (setting devices such as Siemens, Rockwell)Good communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, able to communicate and deal professionally with both internal and external customersOrganized, analytical, and able to eliminate obstacles through creative and adaptive approachesIndependent, service-driven, and open-minded; works well in teamsHighly motivated with a strong sense of ownershipWilling to travelGood knowledge of English (both spoken and written); knowledge of other languages is an advantageDid we spark your interest?
