Service Operations Manager
Your role and responsibilities Perform installation, commissioning and service of ABB Low Voltage Drives and Multidrives Systems, AC and DC, with future extension, after attending proper trainings, to DCS and QCS (measurement scanners and sensors) in Pulp & Paper plants.Perform field service tasks, identify technical problems and make analysis through remote or on-site activities.Execute corrective and preventive maintenance activities.Troubleshoot Equipment/Process failures, both on site and from remote, and execute the needed corrective actions.Perform on call service and technical site interventions on 24/7 shifts.Participate in internal tests on supplied systems.Contribute to customer satisfaction by planning and executing Service works according to customer order and expectation, with clear understanding of sense of urgency and care in the direct area of responsibility.Ensure customer retention and expansion of provided services by delivering superior customer experiences.While on-site, work with the customer to identify opportunities for improving and optimizing the customer's operations.Cooperate to identify and notify to the sales team new Service business opportunities for ABB in its installed base.Support sales on service offers for revamping, upgrade and spare parts proposals.Proactively investigate, analyze and promote, in coordination with the engineering and sales functions, new services and solutions to be offered (e.g. in the area of Advanced Services).Prepare all needed documents and customer reports in a timely manner.Actively operate to populate, clean and update the internal repository of installed base data.Apply safety rules and safe practices as well as environmental responsibilities.Report unsafe practices and incidents. Qualifications for the role High school diploma in technical area (Industrial Automation engineering degree is appreciated).Minimum 3 years of experience in field service activities.Knowledge and experiences on Low Voltage Drives.Availability to travel for frequent short or medium duration missions (in Italy and occasionally abroad), and availability for on call service and technical site interventions (typically one week/month).Ability to proactively manage the relationship with the customer, even in critical situations.Ability and attitude to work with personal autonomy. Ability and attitude to teamwork and collaboration.Native Italian and technical written and spoken English.Suitable skills with standard Office PC software tools, e.g.: Microsoft Office.Knowledge of ABB LV Drives Distributed Control Systems (DCS) or PLCs is a plus.Knowledge of Paper Machine process and related Process Control & Tuning is a plus.Knowledge of Quality Control Systems (QCS), also in combination with DCS is a plus.Knowledge of Standard communication protocols like Profibus, Modbus TCP and RTU is a plus.Knowledge of Virtualized systems is a plus.Knowledge of ABB Control System product and ABB QCS Platforms and Sensors is a plus.
