Customer service technician with a focus on systems and high-voltage technology in the field (m/f/d) Ballard Power Systems is the leading global provider of innovative clean energy and fuel cell solutions. You now have the chance to become a part of our journey as Ballard Europe is looking for a Service Technician who is located in Northern Italy. You will use your technical understanding to carry out all maintenance- and repair tasks on the OEM or end users own fleet of H2 driven busses. You will have direct contact with our customers and be the face they meet on a regular basis. You independently carry out error diagnoses and subsequent troubleshooting on mechanical and electrical components incl analysis of the performance via our online digital monitoring tools.
You will experience a short decision-making process where you are able to reach out to your team, but also yourselves make competent decisions. You will also have further training opportunities for you to elevate yourselves and the support you provide our customers.
Who are you? We are open towards you educational background and you could be an electrician, vehicle mechanic/mechatronics engineer, agricultural machinery mechanic or technician with 3-5 years of professional experience.
If you have already worked in the area of systems and high-voltage technology, that would be a great advantage, but not a requirement.
It would also be considered an advantage if you have relevant professional experience in customer service in the bus or commercial vehicle sector.
As you will be working independently, we expect that your way of working is reliable, and you have a high level of flexibility and resilience. As a person you are forth-coming, service minded and it comes natural to you with a technical mindset and conveying this knowledge to customers in a suitable manner. You are structured and pro-active.
The position will require a Class B driving license. A bus/truck driving license would be a huge advantage, but that is not mandatory. In addition to speaking fluently Italian, you are required to have good English skills, verbally and spoken as you will be communicating with your future colleagues in Europe and the European Customer Care service center in Hobro, Denmark.
Setup You will have your primary base in your own home in Northern Italy (Bologna/Venice area) and from here you will support our customers remotely and regularly by visiting the customers sites. Ballard will support you with needed tools, training etc.
As Ballard Power Systems Europe A/S does not have an entity in Italy, you will be associated with Ballard as a consultant for which reason you need to fulfill the requirements for this within the Italian law.
