Qualifications Field Technician Requirements: Electronic/electrotechnical/IT expert Previous experience in industrial plants or electricity generation.
Ability to read and understand schematic drawings (functional architectures, single-line diagrams, networking diagrams, communication logic diagrams, etc.)
Knowledge of SCADA systems and automation (e.g.
data loggers, PLC, RTU) Knowledge of communication hardware interfaces (serial ports, ethernet, Digital/Analog Input/Output) Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus TCP/RTU, OPC DA/UA, IEC104, etc.)
Knowledge of electronic boards for data acquisition and their configuration (e.g.
signal converters, protocol converters and remote IO boards) Knowledge and configuration of network devices such as firewalls, routers, managed switch/optic switches (VLAN, NAT, SPANNING TREE, Turbo Ring and other redundancy protocols) Knowledge of at least one programming language for scripting (bash, python, java, etc.)
Knowledge of Linux and Windows OS systems Knowledge of the English language Field Engineer Responsibilities: Configuration and verification of the functioning of monitoring and control systems Execution of field activities for the commissioning of the monitoring and control systems implemented Supervise the testing, maintenance, installation and operation of equipment Supervision and coordination of external technicians involved in field activities Technical support in the field for the resolution of present problems Execution of inspections Preparation of reports on the activities performed in the field Coordination of the team on the field, ensuring safety Nice to have: Knowledge of microcontroller systems, PLC and IEC61131 Knowledge of HMI SCADA (e.g.
