The Soft Robotics for human cooperation and rehabilitation (SoftBots) Laboratory of the Italian Institute of Technology, is seeking for a highly motivated, full-time Fellow researcher (holding a master degree).The selected candidate will work in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary group at the JOiiNT LAB, where researchers and engineers collaborates for developing new robotic technologies to tackle real world problems.
JOiiNT LAB core activities are in the field of mechatronics, collaborative robotics, wearable and immersive tele-presence systems for inspection and maintenance.As Robotics and Control fellow, you will be involved in all the activities related to the design of control algorithms, testing, and development of collaborative robotics systems, focusing primarily on the human-robot physical interaction.
Among other duties, you will be responsible for determining control, electrical and sensing interfaces, definition of specifications and requirements and testing.
Furthermore, you will provide general control and electronic support for the different level of integration of the systems.
To this aim, you must be willing to collaborate with a large and multidisciplinary team.Qualifications Required:A Master degree in robotics, control, computer science or related fields.Experience and knowledge of programming languages (e.g.
C++, Python, Matlab).Knowledge of the Robot Operating System (ROS).Confidence with version control tools (e.g.
