Facility Operations Specialist

You will serve as a FACILITY OPERATIONS SPECIALIST , designated as the Requirements Branch Subject Matter Expert (RBSME) for Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC), Europe, Africa and Southwest Asia (EURAFSWA), located at NAVFAC EURAFSWA Public Works Business Line Core (PWBLC). This position resides in the Facilities Management and Sustainment Product Line (FM&S PL) of the PWBLC, Department of the Navy (DON), Capodichino, Italy. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying knowledge of budget execution (i.e. working capital funds) to accomplish new construction and maintenance/repair of facilities. Assessing potential impact of proposed actions on public safety, ecology, and energy conservation. Developing cost comparison studies to determine feasibility of alternative solutions to facility maintenance problems. Conveying technical engineering data to non-technical personnel. Using knowledge of civil, mechanical, electrical engineering or architecture to support shore facilities operations and maintenance.
