We are looking for a brilliant and enthusiastic Facility and HS&E Manager who can add value at all levels of the business, leading a culture of respect for the policies across the organization and developing a strong safety mindset.
The person will be based in Milan, reporting to local BOS & Security Director.
In line with Richemont Europe security strategy and objectives, the Facility and Health & Security Manager supports the line manager to develop and deliver the Facility and Health and Safety strategy, alongside the day-to-day implementation of all the projects, directives and strategies across the Market.
How will you make an impact?
- Assist Italy affiliates, including BTQ's and offices /RCS in delivering all aspects of Facility and HS&E management and legal compliance
- Engage and work with external contractors and suppliers in the management and delivery of Health and Safety and Fire Safety
- Ensure careful management of all company assets and budget
- Ensure compliance with Group policies regarding Building and Office Services. Implement Richemont HS&E group Management Policies, Standards and Guidance.
- Implement all the H&S activities in association with the external RSPP and provide relevant training to all affiliate personnel
- Ensure that each project has a Safety & Environmental plan including an emergency preparedness plan in place, which is communicated and implemented by all
- Develop the skills of site based management, when dealing with staff and sub-contractors
- Conduct and organise inductions/audits/inspections and carry out compliance checks of basic Fire Safety and Health & Safety standards in Boutiques and other in scope Richemont locations
- Ensure all occupational injuries/illnesses, dangerous occurrences, incidents and at risk behaviors are fully investigated and reported with findings and recommendations for preventive action and corrective action where appropriate
- Advise and assist in all risk assessment activities, including advice on new investments and projects locally
- Support the development of measurement systems to ensure that Health and Safety performance are accurately monitored
How will you experience success with us?
- Solid previous experience as local Facility and HS&E Specialist, including permanent member of local Safety Committee
- Good knowledge of ISO 14001/ISO 45001 standards
- Science or technical based engineering degree, preferably in mechanical or chemical industry
- Working towards or already achieved a professional HS&E qualification e.g. NEBOSH international certificate (ideally) or equivalent e.g. Master in occupational Safety and Health, recognized by AIAS (Associazione professionale Italiana Ambiente e Sicurezza)
- Fluent Italian and English. French would be a plus
- Problem solver, able to prioritize and reprioritize
- Excellent communication skills, with an ability to modulate the communication style, depending on the audience and circumstances
- Positive and proactive attitude, with high levels of resilience and composure, even in stressful circumstances
- Supportive team player, able to develop internal relationships
