Facilities And Maintenance Technician

Overview Under general supervision, performs a variety of repair and routine semi-skilled maintenance for regional facilities. Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to, equipment repair, carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical trades work. Operates a variety of maintenance and cleaning tools and equipment; performs related work as required.Responsibilities Performs a variety of routine semi-skilled maintenance for District facilities, ensuring that they are available for use and consistently maintained in a safe and clean condition.Maintains equipment, spaces, structures, and infrastructure in proper operating condition.Performs equipment repairs and collaborates with subject matter experts as necessary.Handles maintenance, installation, and repair of IT infrastructure.Assembles, repairs, maintains, and moves furniture, such as desks, cabinets, tables, chairs, shelves, and related fittings and fixtures.Conducts routine inspections and maintenance of heating, electrical, and air conditioning equipment; replaces filters; identifies and reports more complex maintenance needs to supervisor.Inspects facilities and grounds for safety and security; identifies and reports hazardous conditions and facility maintenance needs to supervisor.Follows safe working practices and makes appropriate use of related safety equipment as required.Assists GM with supervising custodial staff and tasks.Assists with structural pest control measures.Clocks in and out at each facility.Maintains records and logs of daily activities.Assists with regional special events, as needed.Performs related duties, as assigned.Experience Solid understanding of IT, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical systems, as well as other crafts.Requirements Must have tools, transportation, and a valid driver's license.Must be fluent in the English language.Experienced with MS Office and Dropbox.Have access to a PC, laptop, and email platform.
