Job OverviewWorking in various F&B outlets within the hotel including the Restaurant, Bar, Lobby, Garden, Room Service, and Events under the supervision of F&B Managers. Service guests, direct guests to tables when appropriate, and offer to deliver food orders to guest tables according to hotel specifications, courteously and efficiently. Assist in the maintenance and cleanliness of the restaurant area and equipment.
QualificationsEssential: Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, management, and co-workers.Ability to provide legible communication.Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.Basic computer knowledge.Wine knowledge.Desirable: High school graduate, some college.Certification of previous training in liquor, wine, and food service.Certification in alcohol awareness program.Ability to communicate in a second language.SkillsAbility to understand guest's service needs.Ability to access and input information into the Micros system.Ability to be well organized and maintain concentration.Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision.Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.Job FunctionsGain and maintain complete knowledge of the various service procedures in the various outlets of the hotel.Maintain complete knowledge of table/seat/station numbers, room capacity, hours of operation, proper table set-up, and dress code of restaurant.Maintain complete knowledge of all liquor brands, beers, and non-alcoholic selections available in the restaurant.Maintain knowledge of the characteristics and description of every wine/champagne by the glass and major wines on the wine list.Maintain complete knowledge of all menu selections, preparation methods, major ingredients, quality standards, appearance, and serving temperature.Strictly abide by state liquor regulations.Maintain complete knowledge of Micros and manual systems.Complete opening duties as assigned.Ensure correct silverware is placed for each course in a timely manner.Direct guests to restrooms as outlined with BVLGARI standards.Check and replenish beverages.Retrieve food orders from the kitchen and serve to guests.Open and serve wine/champagne bottles.Prepare and serve coffee drinks and tea.Anticipate guest's needs and respond promptly.Maintain positive guest relations at all times.Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions.Handle guest complaints following the instant pacification procedures.Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas.Adhere to all payment, cash handling, and credit policies/procedures.Secondary FunctionsFollow maintenance program and cleaning schedule.Document maintenance on work orders.Attend designated meetings and seminars.Be open to future changes within the department.Be available to offer lateral service for your department and other departments.Developed in partnership with jeweler and luxury products designer Bulgari, our select Bulgari Hotels & Resorts are located in major cosmopolitan cities and luxury resort destinations.
