The Opportunity By joining our Integrated City Planning team, you'll contribute to the design and development of innovative masterplans and urban strategies that address contemporary challenges. You will also have the opportunity to participate in cutting-edge research, develop digital tools, and collaborate with diverse, multidisciplinary teams to achieve sustainable outcomes.
As an Integrated City Planner at Arup, you will: Contribute to the design and development of masterplans, strategic planning projects, and site/environmental analysis.Participate in internal research teams, strengthening our sustainable and regenerative approach or developing compelling digital tools.Use your technical expertise to develop innovative urban design solutions aligned with relevant Italian laws and standards.Create technical reports, drawings, and visual materials that effectively communicate planning strategies and project outcomes.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, designers, and engineers, to deliver high-quality projects.Manage assigned tasks and ensure timely delivery of project milestones.Engage with diverse clients and stakeholders, gaining valuable exposure to complex urban projects.Does this role inspire you? Ideally, you'll bring: A degree in Architecture and/or Urban Planning.3–4 years of experience designing masterplans, statutory application projects, and urban strategies/analysis.Demonstrated expertise in developing urban design solutions at various scales.Proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS environments, and graphic design tools (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).Detailed knowledge of Italian urban planning codes and standards.Professional fluency in Italian and English.Strong skills in producing technical reports, proposals, and visual materials for clients.Bonus points if you have: Experience with MEP environments or sustainability-focused design.A strong interest in the intersection of sustainability and urban design.Why Arup?
