**Job Description Summary**:
The Avio Aero Export Control Manager is responsible for the integration of export control requirements in Avio Aero business operations.
**Essential Responsibilities**:The Export Control Manager main responsibilities will be the following:
- contribute towards strategy and policy development, with focus on Avio Aero procedures and instructions assuring the proper flow-down of export control national/EU rules, ITAR/EAR requirements and GE Aviation policies and compliance standards, acting as main focal point with the GE Aviation International Trade Compliance (ITC) organization;
- coordinate with the ITC Leader in identifying the main areas of Compliance Risk, review and update the ITC Risk Register and maintain it under monitoring, preparing high level assessments to be addressed to the Avio Aero Senior Leadership Team;
- manage and improve the established lean standard work for the ITC cross-functional activities integrated with the Company processes and KPIs;
- ensure that collaboration tools, database and records satisfy all requirements and compliance standards both for tangible and intangible items, interacting with Avio Aero Engineering and IT functions;
- support Avio Aero ITC internal and external audits and be responsible of corrective actions implementation and management;
- act as Avio Aero ITC focal point with Italian and Foreign Authorities (such as UAMA and US Department of Defense) according to the role's area of responsibility.
**Qualifications/Requirements**:
- Knowledge of Italian and US laws and regulations in the export control area (L. 185/90, ITAR, EAR)
- University Degree
- Solid experience in Compliance related to export control of defense products
- Fluent in Italian and English
- Good communication skills and ability to interact at all levels of the organization and Gov.
Authorities
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Familiarity in coordinating working groups operating on cross-functional processes and procedures
- Ability to perform under pressure and against tight deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and forward thinking
- EU work authorization
- NOS qualification from the Italian government security department (in compliance with requirements stated in the DPCM Nov 6th, 2015, No.
5 to be obtained upon personal prerequisite in place
**Desired characteristics**:
- Previous experience with Italian Ministry of External Affairs (UAMA office in particular) and/or Italian Ministry of Defense
- Established project management skills
