About the role As Surety Underwriter you will support the development, assessment and underwriting of surety transactions across Italy. You will also assist and support Corporates on International bonds. You will be fully involved in live transactions with the support of very experienced finance professionals, having the opportunity to develop a high level of proficiency in areas such as credit analysis and client management.
About the Team You will be part of the Italian Surety Team located in Milan, which is part of the Surety EMEA Team. You will be working with a very engaged and collaborative team of experienced professionals.
Main tasks/activities Develop on the underwriting side existing and potential clients belonging to the Italian Market Assist and support Corporates on International bonds Evaluate and underwrite the incoming business on underwriting and credit risk side Credit Analysis – perform all activities connected to the assignment and maintenance of clients internal rating Entertain contacts with brokers and clients and sourcing of suitable business About You 7+ years of experience in the Italian direct surety market, underwriting medium to large corporates. Ability to assess risks, coverages, terms and conditions. Credit analysis – ability to understand and evaluate client financials. Knowledge of Corporates and brokers world. Familiar with International Bonds. Fluent Italian language and good English language proficiency required. High level of self-motivation and ability to work independently. Good negotiation and analytical skills. Team player, open-minded.
