Executive Pastry Chef

The Executive Pastry Chef is responsible for overseeing the creation, preparation, and presentation of all pastries in Gianni's Group.
This role combines creative culinary expertise with managerial responsibilities, requiring a deep knowledge of pastry arts and the ability to lead a team in producing consistently excellent products.Key ResponsibilitiesCreate and design innovative and seasonal dessert menus.Develop new recipes and techniques for pastries and desserts.Prepare all pastry items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.Ensure dessert offerings complement the overall menu.Oversee daily production of cakes and desserts.Ensure consistent quality, presentation, and taste of all pastry products.Apply portion control and waste management techniques.Perform periodic taste testing to maintain a high standard.Lead and Manage Teams:Supervise, train, and mentor pastry team members.Conduct performance reviews and manage pastry team schedules.Foster a creative, positive, and collaborative kitchen environment.Ensure compliance with health, hygiene, and safety standards.Inventory and Cost Management:Manage ingredient inventories and ensure proper storage and rotation.Control food costs and work within a budget.Order supplies and maintain relationships with suppliers to obtain high-quality ingredients.Coordinate with executive chef and other kitchen teams for smooth service.Seniority LevelMid-Senior levelEmployment TypeFull-timeJob FunctionOtherIndustriesHospitality and Food & Beverages #J-18808-Ljbffr
