Offer DescriptionThis project addresses treatment-resistant depression (TRD), a condition unresponsive to conventional therapies, by exploring two innovative interventions: a non-psychedelic form of psilocybin and personalized accelerated transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS).
The goal is to understand the mechanisms of action of these treatments, their effects on brain networks associated with depression, and to optimize their clinical use.
The project plans to compare their efficacy and identify patient profiles best suited for each intervention, ultimately bridging the gap between research and practice to enhance therapeutic effectiveness in TRD.
Selection ProcessThe research grant under this contract shall be granted after a comparative evaluation based on the qualifications presented by applicants.
Evaluation CriteriaTitles and scientific publications including: a PhD or equivalent qualification obtained abroad, the degree of specialization in the medical area, certificates of attendance at post-graduate courses taken abroad, and documented research performance validated through contracts, grants, or assignments, both in Italy and abroad (60 points out of 100).
Interview (40 points out of 100).
Candidates who obtain less than 20/100 in the evaluation of qualifications will not be allowed to interview.
The proceedings will conclude with the selection of a winner and the formation of a list of suitable candidates valid for a maximum of one year, whose use is restricted to the specific requirements specified in the notice.
