Join our client's team as a UX/UI and Front-End Developer, working remotely!
We're seeking a skilled individual to drive the development of intuitive and responsive user interfaces for web platforms, ensuring a seamless user experience. You'll be involved in designing, prototyping, and implementing UI solutions while adhering to best coding practices.
Your expertise in UI/UX design, web technologies, and frameworks will be essential in crafting visually appealing and functional interfaces.

YOUR TASKS
Development of front-end website architecture and responsive UI solutions following good coding practices, including creation/correction of CSS and transforming mock-ups into semantic HTML and development of innovative solutions for different platforms as well as integration with DBs or other server-side logic. Design and development of features to enhance the user experience. UX writing. Visual prototyping of UI solutions such as designing (low- and high-fidelity) wireframes, mock-ups and story boards which lead to an intuitive user experience. User Experience (UX) analysis. Consultancy on UI at any step of the design of a digital solution (from brainstorming to research, sketches, prototypes, user tests and final implementation). Design and development of UI solutions for different web products and platforms, including showing styling, use of typography, images, text, the definition of Information Architecture, interaction workflows and navigation. Creation and maintenance of style guides, brand book and visual component libraries, including sketched concepts and page templates. Creation of graphical elements including illustrations, visuals, infographics, data visualisations, etc. Documentation of code, ensuring easy maintenance & evolution. Optimisation of application for maximum performance and scalability. Cross-platform optimisation. Definition of user-centred evaluations of UI solutions, identifying key usability problems and providing recommendations on how to solve them (including the participation in usability studies with users). Synthesis of UX research, web analytics data, as well as surveys, legacy and organizational goals. Testing and fixing bugs or other coding issues. Compile and analyse data, processes, and codes to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement. Understanding and implementation of security and data protection. Usability studies. User requirements research. Surveys. Presents reports. Problem solving attitude. Data-driven decision-making. Meet both technical and consumer needs. YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Experience in UI/UX design. Previous experience in Graphic Design. Knowledge of web technologies, frameworks and standards such as HTML, XHTML, CSS and jQuery development, W3C, accessibility, SEO, JavaScript, Angular, React, Vue. Good knowledge of Typescript, Webpack. Knowledge of GIT. Knowledge of PHP, using Twig. Knowledge of Laravel. Experience with Bootstrap. Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and XD. Knowledge of CoreIDraw. Knowledge in customisation of collaborative tools such as Atlassian's Confluence or similar. Knowledge of Typography concepts. Previous experience with Agile software development methodology. Experience in using WordPress. Good knowledge of Drupal. Prototyping experience using tools such as Figma. CI/CD. Knowledge of user testing through all stages of a project, including different techniques (e.g. eye tracking, dynamic/static verification) and methods of testing (e.g. remote usability testing, A/B testing, hallway testing, post release testing). Following skills and knowledge are required: Ability to give presentations. Ability to apply high quality standards. Ability to cope with fast changing technologies. Very good communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences. Analysis and problem solving skills. Ability to work independently and troubleshoot issues effectively. DUE TO THE PARTICULAR NATURE OF A LARGE INTERNATIONAL ORGANISATION SUCH AS THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION, CANDIDATES SHOULD ALSO HAVE THE FOLLOWING NON-TECHNICAL SKILLS: Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in working in team. Ability to participate in multilingual meetings. Ability to work in multi-cultural environment, on multiple large projects. Excellent Team Player. Ability to understand, speak and write English (B1,B2) will be an advantage. High degree of discretion and integrity is required as the applications managed and maintained in the unit contain personal and confidential data. EXTRA INFORMATION The services shall be performed remotely in Far-site location within EU territory only. Freelance contract. The competence level will be tested during interview.
