You will report directly to the global Head of Regulatory in the Legal & Integrity (L&I) function and functionally to the Head of Change Management and Continuous Improvement in the SCM function based in Zurich, Switzerland. As a valued member of our global SCM Regulatory Compliance Team, you will collaborate with colleagues across different geographies.
Your responsibilities: Engages in continuous monitoring and analysis of global legal and regulatory frameworks using advanced tools like C2P.Evaluates regulations and distil requirements for implementation by key stakeholders within Business Unit SCM, IM&S, or TT&L.Facilitates the development of action plans alongside stakeholders.Forges and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, providing necessary clarifications for ensuring legal compliance.Partners with the global Hitachi Energy Sustainability team to leverage existing frameworks and tools for efficient sustainability reporting.Identifies potential regulatory risks and opportunities from the sustainability landscape or existing regulations, including necessary changes in the organization.Formulates and advocates for strategies for opportunity realization and risk mitigation.Designs and conducts training sessions to enhance employee understanding of compliance topics.Updates and refines organizational policies to meet regulatory demands effectively.Provides insights on compliance best practices.Represents the company's legal position in compliance audits.Collaborates closely with global and local team members and stakeholders.Lives Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.Your background: Bachelor's degree in law, focusing on European or another jurisdiction law, or a related field. An additional degree or LLM is a plus.A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in regulatory compliance, preferably within the technology sector; proven knowledge in SCM is a clear plus.Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal throughout all levels in a complex matrix organization, with the ability to articulate complex information succinctly in a cross-functional, virtual, international environment.Native English proficiency; multilingual abilities are a significant advantage.Analytical and pragmatic mindset, self-driven, experience in project management with internal stakeholders and external Consultants and law firms.Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and ERP systems (SAP).Willingness to develop the role and scope considering evolving regulatory environment.Unwavering ethical standards and integrity.Willingness to travel (10-20%).
