You will serve as a Deputy Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Officer in the Office of EEO, Overseas EEO Programs, Naples, Italy of ASSTSECNAV MRA WASHINGTON DC.DutiesYou will serve as an expert principal advisor and spokesperson on equal employment opportunity (EEO) matters for assigned commands within the assigned overseas area: Europe, Africa, Central (EURAFCENT).You will manage and direct the development and implementation of EEO policies and procedures to effectively deal with the prevention/elimination of individual and systemic discrimination affecting all serviced departments and activities.You will review EEO policies and objectives established by higher authority and develop local guidance, directives and implementation procedures.You will advise and consult with managers on identification and elimination of individual and systemic discrimination; promotion and development of EEO policies, plans and programs.You will direct and review analyses of EEO laws, court decisions, regulations and personnel policies to determine the impact on the Region and serviced activities and recommend appropriate program and policy changes.You will ensure the serviced workforce is informed of all efforts to foster EEO, to include preparing news releases, making presentations and meeting with community leaders.You will oversee the EEO Discrimination Complaints Management and Reasonable Accommodation processes.You will assist the Alternative Dispute Resolution Program for the serviced commands in all geographically serviced locations.You will plan and schedule the work of the EEO Office to attain program goals by developing and providing advice, recommendations and guidance on all EEO matters.Salary$88,520 - $115,079/yearConditions of EmploymentMust be a US Citizen.Must be determined suitable for federal employment.Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level.
