RINA is currently recruiting for a Environmental Marine Consultant to join its office in Genoa, Italy within the Energy Engineering Solutions Division.
MissionThe selected candidate will join the Environmental Engineering department working within a multidisciplinary team involved in environmental related tasks and studies for Energy, Industry and Infrastructure projects in Italy and abroad.
The focus of this job vacancy is related to the marine environmental surveys including both desk and field activities.
Job ResponsibilitiesWork on/support the design of marine nearshore and offshore surveys.Work onboard assisting the execution of environmental marine surveys onshore and offshore (water/sediment characterization, biocenosis, ROV/camera shooting, etc).Subsequent reporting.The candidate could also be involved in other environmental tasks developed by the environmental engineering department (including permitting, environmental studies and - in particular - biodiversity related studies).Key AccountabilitiesMaster's Degree in Marine Sciences, Marine Biology or similar.At least 2 years experience in similar assignments.Fluency in English, both spoken and written (Knowledge of other languages will be considered as a plus).Familiarity with national environmental regulation and international standards.Know-how on marine environmental topics (biological and physical components).Familiarity with GIS tools.Previous experiences in environmental marine field activities (on-board nearshore and offshore) and reporting will be considered as a plus.Availability for business trips and missions in Italy and abroad (including long-lasting onboard offshore missions).EducationMaster's Degree in Environmental Science or Biology.
