We're now looking for a colleague to join our team in Padova, Italy as an Engineering Supervisor for Thermal Management.
Your Core Responsibilities: Lead the team assigned to the specific project. Develop reporting and tracking programs to assure the project is on target for schedule and cost. Identify key issues and drive decisions to ensure that the project does not slip. Identify key risks and have a contingency plan. Communicate with other managers, upper management, or outside vendors and other plants, as required. Responsible that the project is following the NPDP, New Product Develop Process, and reporting the progress to the NPDP. Operational responsibility for the thermodynamic design and numerical calculations of specific projects. To manage the development of new R&D products in the data center cooling sector for high profile and well-known global datacenter customers. Facilitate cross-functional planning and project execution. Deliver a fast and customer focused response on "engineered to order complex" (ETO-C) projects, where a new solution is based on an existing and well proven platform. Work in a multi-disciplinary engineering team on global products focusing on high performance, cost effective design and market leading innovation. To lead the design of new products or re-engineer existing ones, collaborating with, Marketing, Procurement and Industrial Engineering, being aware of the customer's needs. To approve and review product documentation (CAD drawings, specifications, bills of material). To meet objectives of cost, quality, environment and time of execution, achieving the best trade-off between market and internal customer needs. To analyze and resolve technical problems as regards products under his/her responsibility.Availability to travel on request between the Italian HQ (base) and a production facilities in Slovakia and Croatia.
In order to be successful in this role you will need to have: A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Energy Engineering is required. At least 5 years of previous working experience on similar projects. Good knowledge of thermodynamics and refrigeration principles are essential. Knowledge of thermodynamics, physics, engineering and manufacturing processes. English – Intermediate level – written and spoken; A high level of motivation combined with leadership abilities is required. Knowledge of technical norms and standards. Competences: result-oriented, team player, careful to details, flexible.
