Job Description Are you a jack of all trades? Our Engineering Supervisor role will allow you to lead and train engineering and landscape team members in all technical and non-technical areas. This individual will be comfortable leading various projects from start to finish, as well as focused on maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair all hotel systems including all H.V.A.C&R systems, laundry equipment, kitchen equipment, water and wastewater systems, carpentry, tile, plumbing, painting, and minor automotive repairs. Assume responsibilities of the Director of Engineering in their absence. Maintain complete knowledge of hotel fire system, water system, sewage system, and irrigation system. Respond to all Guest Requests within a very timely manner. Respond to all emergency or life-threatening situations. Follow established safety procedures. Log and communicate all essential information in Engineering logs. Duties include emergency on-call status. Qualifications Minimum of 3-4 years experience as an Engineer / Maintenance Technician, preferably within a hotel or property management environment. High school diploma or equivalent; Technical school desired. Must be able to operate all Hotel systems and associated equipment. Need to be familiar with associated vendors and able to identify replacement parts, materials, and necessary tools. Ability to take action and make decisions whenever necessary as directed by the Director of Engineering. Ability to read and follow technical instructions on the assembly of mechanical equipment and furniture as well as follow directions on warning labels. Ability to communicate in English with guests, co-workers, and management.
