This position is an integral part of the Venue Development Overlay (VDO) functional area and will support the team to deliver the project in line with the agreed milestones, project plans, and budgets.
The key areas within Engineering Services include: Mechanical ServicesElectrical Services (small power)Hydraulic ServicesCabling ContainmentLighting & RiggingAcousticStructural ServicesIn particular, he/she will: Manage planning and execution for a number of competition and non-competition venues, or for a number of commodities.Manage the definition of scope of works and production of technical documentation for external engineering consultancies when needed.Be in control of the budget implications of any proposed Engineering solutions and be aware of budget constraints and design to a budget.Support the VNI team in the preparation, collection, and checking of the technical documentation needed to run tenders.Support the VNI team and statutory roles in place in the collection and checking of all the documentation needed to file for building permit and temporary fit-for-use certification.Manage relationships with service providers/contractors to ensure efficient and effective delivery.Ensure a high standard of relationship management and service with all internal functions, partners, stakeholders, and contractors.Share ideas and information with the team and contribute to the team environment.Be aware and comply with the Corporation's health and safety policies, standards practices, and program.
